Hi, I'm Dr. Lauren Macaluso. I practice Breastfeeding Medicine and help mothers and babies get off to a great start with successful breastfeeding. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and completed my pediatric residency at Children's National Medical Center of George Washington University in Washington, D.C. My special interest in breastfeeding started after nursing my own two children for over a year, while working part-time as a general pediatrician at a teaching hospital. I was an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and director of the newborn nursery rotation at Flushing Hospital Medical Center until August 2006. I now have privileges at North Shore Manhasset and LIJ Schneider Children's Hospitals.
